Standard Garage Doors

A standard steel door is the right answer for most homes. It is the least expensive way to replace a failed or dated door, it holds paint well in Southern California sun, and because the common sizes are stocked, it does not involve a wait of several weeks.
You still choose the panel style, the color and whether the top section has windows.

Standard doors are single-layer steel, so they do not insulate. If the garage is attached, faces afternoon sun, or you use it as a work space, compare it against an insulated door before deciding.
