Where it earns its price
- 16-foot double openings, where panel flex is most noticeable
- Garages with kids, bikes and sports equipment
- Workshops and gyms where the inside of the door is visible
- Homes on busy streets, where the extra mass cuts noise
Steel inside and out
Steel skins on both faces of every panel, for strength, dent resistance and a finished look from inside the garage.
Double steel, sometimes called three-layer construction, sandwiches an insulating core between two steel skins. The second skin is what makes the panel rigid and gives the inside of your garage a finished surface instead of exposed struts.
It is the construction we recommend for wide double doors, for garages you spend time in, and for anyone who has already dented a single-layer door.
Double steel doors weigh more than single-layer doors, so the springs are sized accordingly and an aging opener sometimes needs to be replaced along with the door. We check the opener before quoting so there are no surprises.

Anything else, just ask when we call.
Related but not identical. Insulated refers to the core, double steel refers to the second skin. Most double steel doors are insulated, but not every insulated door has a steel back.
Customer reviews
My garage door suddenly broke and I needed someone the same day. EM had someone at my door in less than 2 hours. Work was done perfectly, very nice technician, and a fair price.
Elder did a great job with his diagnosis and was very honest and upfront with everything. He took his time to explain how everything works. And it was a great value!
They responded promptly and stopped by our home the same day. The guy was friendly, professional, and got the door opening and closing again in no time.
Quick service, and since my door was a standard size they had it installed and ready the next day. Amazing service!
We were astounded by how quickly they replied and fixed our broken belt and motor. Prompt, courteous service. We will use this business for all of our future needs.
