Privacy Policy

E&M Garage Door Inc. Last updated: October 6, 2026

E&M Garage Door Inc. (“E&M Garage Door,” “we,” “us”) operates emgaragedoor.com. This policy explains what information we collect through the website, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

Information you give us

We only ask for what we need to quote a job and get a technician to your door. Depending on which form you use, that can include:

  • Your name, phone number and email address
  • The service address, city and ZIP code where the work is needed
  • Details about the job: the type of service, what the door is doing, the number of doors, urgency, property type, and any notes you add
  • Photos of the door, if you choose to upload one
  • Your preferred way to be contacted, and whether you would like text messages
  • How you heard about us
  • The appointment date and arrival window you select when booking online

You are not required to give us any of this. If you would rather not use the forms, you can call us at (714) 473-0500.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the site, our hosting provider and analytics tools may record standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you view, and the site or ad that referred you. If you arrive from an online ad, the link may carry tracking values (for example utm_source, fbclid or gclid) that we store with your request so we know which ads bring in real work.

Cookies and advertising tools

The site uses cookies and similar technologies for basic functionality, for measuring traffic, and for advertising. These may include:

  • Meta (Facebook and Instagram) Pixel, which tells us when a visitor from one of our ads submits a quote request or books an appointment, and allows us to show ads to people who visited the site
  • Google Analytics and Google Ads tags, used the same way

These tools set their own cookies and are governed by their own privacy policies. You can limit or block cookies in your browser settings, opt out of interest-based advertising through the Digital Advertising Alliance at optout.aboutads.info, or adjust your ad settings directly with Meta and Google. Blocking cookies will not stop you from requesting a quote or booking a visit.

How we use your information

We use what you provide to:

  • Respond to quote requests and confirm appointments
  • Dispatch a technician and contact you when we are on the way
  • Prepare estimates and invoices, and provide warranty or follow-up service
  • Keep records of work performed at your property
  • Understand which ads and marketing produce real customers
  • Send occasional offers or service reminders, if you have asked to hear from us

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

Text messages

If you check the box asking us to text you, we may send messages about your request, your appointment and your service visit. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies. Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving texts, or HELP for help. Opting out of texts does not stop us from reaching you by phone or email about a job in progress.

Who we share information with

We share information only with the companies that help us run the business, and only as needed to do their job. These may include our website host, our email delivery provider, our scheduling and invoicing software, and the advertising and analytics providers described above. We may also disclose information when the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our employees or the safety of others.

How long we keep it

We keep quote requests, appointments and service records for as long as needed to serve you and to meet our tax, warranty and legal obligations, and we delete or archive them afterward. You can ask us to delete your information sooner using the contact details below.

Your choices

Whatever state you live in, you can ask us to:

  • Tell you what personal information we hold about you
  • Correct anything that is wrong
  • Delete your information, unless we are required to keep it for tax, warranty or legal reasons
  • Stop sending you marketing emails or texts

California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know, the right to delete, the right to correct, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by that law. To make a request, contact us at info@emgaragedoor.com or (714) 473-0500. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request, usually by verifying the phone number or address connected to your service.

Security

We use commercially reasonable safeguards, including encrypted connections on our website forms, to protect the information you send us. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

This website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Links to other sites

Our site may link to other companies, such as manufacturers or an online scheduling provider. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, and we encourage you to read their policies.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our business or the law changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised, and the current version always appears on this page.
